An online group for secular Buddhists

Several participants in SBN’s After Buddhism online course have been meeting on Zoom since June 2020 to discuss issues related to secular Buddhism. They have decided to expand the focus of the group to include an optional period of meditation along with an exploration of secular Buddhist perspectives and practices. The meetings will be held on a monthly basis via Zoom.

Click on the source link above for more information. For people who live in New Zealand, the first group zoom meeting will be 21 January, starting at 9am. So for NZers, the meeting timing is this:
9:00 to 9:45: Thirty minutes of meditation followed by 15 minutes of sharing on our meditation practice
9:45 to 10:00: Presentation of a reading related to a secular approach to the dharma
10:00 to 11:00: Group discussion (small groups and the whole group)

I am not a Buddhist – secular or religious – but the teachings (dharma) of Siddhartha Gotama (the Buddha) are a framework for living my life, and so I gain a lot from being part of this group. You are certainly invited and welcome to join us.
